My last day.....I will not capture everything about my last day...it was a roller coast of a day....it started off with my previous entry about feeding the Bison...that was the high point...after that it was a lot of goodbyes and tears and near tears.....
Well...let me show you my day...
After our bison feeding Lauren and I showed Jen around the park a bit since she hadn't seen it in the daylight yet....
We went to the springs....
and of course the Lincoln Bridge!!!
and then towards the Nature Center...but Jen couldn't resist dipping her toes in the waters of Chickasaw at the crossing!
Then, a behind the scenes look at the office and meeting Eric....
and the rest of the staff.....
and Daphine and Prince...
Then....to the STAMP!!!!
Vicki introduced Jen to Crooked Horn....
and some of the other animals in the Nature Center.
Jen went with us back to the Vis while Lauren and I got a few things done. She hopped on the intranet and took care of some work away from work as well!
Then, it was lunch time--a trip to Roma for Jen, Laure, Eric and me!
A toast to Jen's visit! :)
Sadness to come....our stop that afternoon entailed a visit to Cheryl's office---normally a very happy outing...but today...
I had to turn my Park Ranger badge in....and it was just too much.... :(
Lauren and I headed back to the Nature Center for me to say goodbye and to take final photos. Jen took some too...
There were moments of leg kicks...
and photo taking with the giant arrowhead...
catching up on local news in the Sulphur paper....
and a moment or two with the puppets. Then, we headed to the Junior Ranger Station so that Jen could get the other stamp Chickasaw has. We showed Jen the Ranger Station....
and then it was time for me to say goodbye---and yet more tears....
Jen and Lauren headed to Ardmore and I headed home to go for a run one last time in the park and to finish packing. Somewhere around 9:30 pm I realized I was hungry and headed to the Chinese restaurant I hadn't tried all summer....and tried something new....
I couldn't believe my summer was over already! :(

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE your blog ... but this post was a bit sad. I miss Sulphur and the gang too ... and I was only there for a couple of days! It must have been a great experience to be so emotional!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!
